Victoria Moore, The Telegraph, 21st March 2021

  • Santa Tresa Grillo Viognier Siciliane IGP Organic — x 1

Santa Tresa Rina Ianca has a tropical fruit bouquet, with hints of vanilla. There is a perfect balance of fresh fruit flavours and citrus acidity on the palate. Serve nice and cool as a lovely aperitif, or enjoy with grilled white fish or grilled vegetables.

  • Icare Chardonnay, Côtes de Thongue — x 1

Alexander discovered his passion for wine in the family vineyard in the 90’s. Willing to go further, he created a company dedicated to Languedoc wines. As a real pioneer and visionary man, Alexander Krossa combines technical and commercial know-how to the service of partner winegrowers. His philosophy: being a professional of foreign customer relationship in controlling technical process, selection and blends with his partners. Located in the heart of the widest vineyard in the world, La cave d’Alignan combines tradition and modernity, first throughout its various terroirs but also with its parcel selection and wine making process. Under Mediterranean climate, the terroir beneficiates of a strong wind coming from the North. This dry wind is a real protection for the vines. Moreover, they take advantage of a favourable exposure and this enables a slow grape maturity.

Grapes come from high maturity plots. Direct pressing on arrival at the cellar and cold settling of the must. Once the alcoholic fermentation has started, the must is transferred into French oak barrels. Daily stirring of the lees and ageing during approximately 12 months.

  • Aquarius Marsanne Viognier, McPherson — x 1

A fresh, vibrant and crisp wine with flavoursome notes of fresh honeysuckle and floral aromas.  The Marsanne provides structure whilst the Viognier lends a fragrant carefully blanched punch.  This wine is a joy to drink and a heavenly match with modern Asian food.  Enjoy in peace, love and happiness.

  • Rupe Secca Grillo DOC Sicilia — x 1

This dry white wine has an intense bouquet and lovely palate of citrus and tropical fruit flavours with refreshing acidity.

This wine is perfect for drinking on its own as an aperitif or accompanied with seafood or salads.

The grapes for this wine are selected from the best vineyards in the Marsala area.  This vineyard is one of the most characteristic and typical of this area, with a predominance of white grapes.  Vine training is by traditional Spalliera system.  The grapes are hand-picked, employing various canopy management (vine training) techniues due to the fact that the bunches hit the peak of maturity in mid-September.  Following destemming , the grapes are gently pressed with a pneumatic press.  Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures not exceeding 18°C for approximately 3 weeks.  Malolactic fermentation does not take place so that the wine retains all of the grape’s natural acidity.

  • Clos de Gat Har’el Chardonnay — x 1

The wine has a fine and brilliant pale yellow colour. On the nose it is gently elegant and complex, with hints of spice, orange blossoms and citrus fruits. On the palate it displays freshness, good acidity and a harmonious balance between fruit and oak, with a long lingering finish.
