This dry Riesling has a powerful, concentrated aromatic intensity showing lemon, lime and spring flowers on the nose. The palate has an immense generosity of fruit flavour and incredible mineral complexity and length.

‘The Clare Valley is famous for Riesling, and this is one of the best. Whiffs of petrol – in a good way, honest – lead to a sharp citrus, then rich tropical honey. Ages well.’
The wine opens up with a rich array of aromas – apple, pear, passion fruit, pink grapefruit, chamomile and mint. It develops distinct peppery notes within a few minutes of being in the glass. The wine is dry, with an acidity that sneaks up on you, leaving your palate clean after the long, mouthfilling finish.
Located in Roquemaure, near Avignon in the Rhone valley, Domaine des Carabiniers is a small winery using traditional, organic and biodynamic methods in order to produce authentic wine, that are known to be some of the best in the region.
Harvested at night to prevent oxidation and keep the freshness of the aromas, this wine is fermented with natural yeasts. Aromas of strawberry, spices, liquorice and smoky notes with a touch of aromatic herbs. Heady, powerful and hearty wine.

Domaine des Carabiniers has been within the Leperchois family for many generations with the current generation practicing organic viticulture since 1977. In 1920, the family developed the old stable walls into a cellar in which the horse emblem for the wines was founded. Their 40 hectares of vineyards can be found on the right bank of the Rhône river, taking advantage of the sun exposure and drainage from the sandy and stony soils. The use of traditional, organic and biodynamic methods, along with the passion in which the wines are made, has allowed the estate to produce some of the best wines of the region.
