  • Pato Torrente Cabernet Sauvignon — x 1

Succulent and lively, this wine is round and rich in the mouth, with a soft, blackcurrant flavour.  This is delicious on its own, or with a wide range of meat and cheeses.

  • Rosu de Gitania Rara Neagra Cabernet, Vin Rosu Sec — x 1

The varieties Rară Neagră and Cabernet Sauvignon lend special aromatic qualities with an intense ruby red look, with expressive personality. Maturation in stainless steel vats with batonage on fine yeast keeps the tannins soft, the wine being well balanced even if it has a complex structure. The fresh character recommends enjoying this assortment as an appetiser, at an ideal temperature of 18 ° C, but the wine goes very well with cheeses or fish dishes. A well structured deep ruby red wine that predominates the taste of Moroccan blackberries with an intense richness and soft tannins.

  • Freedom Cross Cinsaut/Cabernet Sauvignon, Franschhoek Cellars — x 1

The combination of the smooth, fruity Cinsaut and the more complex blackberry Cabernet makes this an ideal easy-drinking red.

  • Terra de Lobos Casal Branco Red — x 1

Deep garnet colour.  In the nose it is floral, with a pleasant aroma of ripe berries and spices.  On the palate, a smooth, fruity, rich, complex flavour, with a long velvety finish.

  • Fleurie Presidente Marguerite Subtil, Cave de Fleurie — x 1

This is a light Fleurie with fruity strawberries and raspberries on the palate with a hint of violet and spice on the finish. It has a light body and smooth tannins, making an extremely approachable red wine.

  • Château d’Argadens, Bordeaux Supérieur — x 1

Clad in a beautiful hue of garnet, this wine has a rich, open bouquet that reveals intense aromas of ripe, concentrated black-berried fruit and elegant oak. The same impression of generous fruit is found on the powerful, rich and chewy palate, which is structured by taut, dense tannins and lingers to a long, ample and spicy finish.

  • Pleno Tempranillo Tinto Navarra, Principe de Viana — x 1

The deep red colour hints at the richness of the palate. Fresh red berry fruit on the nose with a smooth and round mouth-feel.

‘Made using tempranillo, the main rioja grape. It’s energetic and bright, like very ripe strawberries with subtle tobacco.’

Victoria Moore, The Telegraph, 21st March 2021

  • Etienne Guigal Cotes Du Rhone Rouge — x 1

A spicy red from Guigal, one of France’s top wineries, with big bold flavours of dark fruits and an attractive peppery note. The blend of predominantly Syrah grapes with a proportion of Grenache and Mourvèdre lends the wine complexity. This is a wine that would be great partnered with red meats.

The Guigal Estate was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis in the Côte-Rôtie appellation and is now on its third generation of winemakers with head winemaker Philippe continuing the family business.

  • DO Bullas Monastrell Organic — x 1

Fresh and vibrant on the palate echoing those aromas on the nose, ripe fruit and herbs from the Mediterranean scrub. Full bodied and persistent, complex. A vivid expression of high altitude Monastrell.

Food pairing: Iberico Ham, cheese, charcuterie, meat, stews, Mediterranean food.

  • Fedele Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC organic — x 1

Sicily’s number one red grape variety, Nero d’Avola is indigenous to the island. This wine has a wonderful structure, yet has soft tannins and is very approachable. Packed with red berry fruit flavours, it is ideal with red meat and tomato based pasta sauces.
