  • Bianai Rioja DOC Blanco — x 1

This clean, bright Rioja Blanco has floral aromas of apple.  It is fruity, fresh and balanced on the palate.

  • Pontemagno Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico DOC — x 1

From the hills behind Ancona on the Adriatic, this refreshing crisp, dry wine has a fine, long lasting lightly fruity bouquet with a delicate scent of almond and wisteria flowers.  It has a fresh, elegant finish.

‘Herbal notes and a memory of bay, pears and bitter almond. Good as an aperitif and at the dinner table as it’s neither sweet nor intrusive.’

Victoria Moore, The Telegraph, 21st March 2021

  • Le Petit Balthazar, Sauvignon Viognier — x 1

Lively and fruit driven Sauvignon Viognier, naturally lighter in alcohol. Intense nose with lime, grapefruit and exotic fruits.  Crispy and fresh attack, balanced with roundness and acidity.  Good fruity finish.

  • Bagordi Rioja Blanco — x 1

This fresh, vibrant wine has intense aromas of ripe fruit, flowers and exotic fruit.  It has a fine balance of acidity and fruitiness giving it an elegant finish.

  • Jean Balmont Pinot Noir Vin de France — x 1

A light to medium body wine with wonderful aromas of small red fruits, spices and vanilla. Light garnet in colour, a traditional characteristic of Pinot Noir. An elegant and complex palate. Great with lamb, mild cheeses and salads.

  • Fedele Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC organic — x 1

Sicily’s number one red grape variety, Nero d’Avola is indigenous to the island. This wine has a wonderful structure, yet has soft tannins and is very approachable. Packed with red berry fruit flavours, it is ideal with red meat and tomato based pasta sauces.

  • Château Malbat Bordeaux Rouge — x 1

Full of juicy, red fruits this claret is soft and appealing with a lovely elegant balance that makes it very moreish!

‘This is without doubt, the finest, inexpensive red Bordeaux on the shelves at the moment.  Made predominantly from Merlot, with class and impeccable balance, this is a modern, juicy, complete wine with genuine, heart-warming appeal.’
Matthew Jukes, Daily Mail, 28 May 2016

  • Gouguenheim Torrontés — x 1

The vibrant aroma has generous floral notes which carry through to a palate that brings a splash of stone fruit flavour. The finish is dry with and pleasing, with the floral flavours superbly persistent.

  • Bodegas Piqueras Valcanto Oak Aged Garnacha Tintorera — x 1

Full-bodied red wine with deep colour, aromas of cassis, sweet strawberries and raspberries and sage. Good structure and balanced acidity with firm, polished tannins. Enjoy this juicy red on its own or with roasted or grilled red meat or game bird dishes.

Enjoy this award-winning wine simply by itself or accompanied by tapas, red meats served with rich sauces, grilled or barbecued red meats or small game birds and semi and fully matured cheeses.

  • Indaba Chardonnay Western Cape — x 1

Vibrant tropical fruit aromas lead to a crisp, fresh palate with mouth-filling flavours of apple, pear, honey and pineapple. A whisper of oak adds a creamy butterscotch nuance and wonderful depth

The grapes were picked in the cool early morning hours. They were de-stemmed and gently pressed with the juice settling overnight. Most of the wine was cold fermented in stainless steel tanks to create a bright, fruit-driven final product. A small portion (roughly 3%) was fermented in new 225 litre French oak barrels, with weekly bâtonnage. The wine was aged on its fine lees for several months to develop further in complexity.

  • Chateau Daviaud AOC Bordeaux Rouge — x 1

The wine’s colour is strong, but not excessively so and lets us perceive a refined style, already displaying the large proportion of Cabernet Franc in the blend. The nose is expressive on notes of fruit and lots of spice; it reveals ripeness and is very fresh. On the palate, this wine is charming, with surprising fullness, smoothness and also a lot of depth.

    45% Merlot – 21% Cabernet Franc – 19% Cabernet Sauvignon – 15% Malbec

  • Albert Bichot Fixin — x 1

Fixin has for a long time been hiding in the shadows of it’s prestigious neighbours. Recently, though, it has been making more noise and Burgundy afficionados have finally spotted this delightful little gem.

It offers great value for money, is less pricey than the usual suspects Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-St-Georges, which need a bit of time to open up their full potential. The smart neighbour, Fixin, offers instant gratification with further ageing potential to boot too. It is a true terroir Pinot from the Cotes de Nuits.
