  • Pleno Tempranillo Tinto Navarra, Principe de Viana — x 1

The deep red colour hints at the richness of the palate. Fresh red berry fruit on the nose with a smooth and round mouth-feel.

‘Made using tempranillo, the main rioja grape. It’s energetic and bright, like very ripe strawberries with subtle tobacco.’

Victoria Moore, The Telegraph, 21st March 2021

  • Prios Maximus Roble Ribera Del Duero — x 1

Powerful, clean bouquet of cherries, ripe blackberries, blueberries with hints of brioche, mocha, toasted almonds and hazelnuts.  These rich red fruit and chocolate notes transfer to an elegant, silky smooth, mouth-wateringly juicy, rounded palate with soft tannins leaving a fresh and bright finish.

    Best served at 18°c.

  • Waitonga Falls Marlborough Pinot Noir — x 1

Native to Burgundy and notoriously challenging to grow, the Pinot Noir grape has found a home away from home in New Zealand.  The huge diversity in climates and soils enables a wide range of styles, which combine the Old World structure and elegance with the New World power and fruit-driven intensity.  Due to the thinness of the skins, Pinot Noir wines are lighter in colour, body and tannins.  However, the best wines have grip, complexity and an intensity of fruit.  Young Pinot Noir can smell almost sweet, redolent with freshly crushed raspberries, cherries and red currants.  When mature, the best wines develop a sensuous, silky mouthfeel with the fruit flavours deepening and gamey nuances emerging.

This Pinot Noir has succulent cherry and red currant flavours seasoned with light spice.

  • Nutbourne Sussex Reserve — x 1

Sussex Reserve is the taste of Nutbourne, made from a field blend of Bacchus, Reichensteiner and Pinot Noir grapes to produce a distinctive, elderflowery, crisp, dry white wine – perfect as an aperitif or with lighter meals.

  • Tetramythos Malagousia Organic — x 1

High altitude, organic, Malagousia full of blossom and exotic fruits

Tetramythos is a boutique winery situated at Ano Diakopto of Egialia, on the slopes of mount Aroania, in north Peloponnese. The vineyards (14 ha) are situated at an altitude of 600-1050m, are cultivate with organic method and due to the mesoclimate, the soil and the exposure to the Gulf of Korinthos breeze, as well the cultivation technics, provide excellent grape quality.

Planted at 700 m this shows a herbal profile with basil and mint and just notes of lemon blossom.

Tasting Note: Bright pale yellow colour with greenish highlights, it smells lemon blossoms, citrus and muscatels notes of loukoumi (turkish and greek traditional delight), rose, fresh herbs, pineapple and pear. Extremely aromatic mouth with good volume, and fruity aftertaste with minerality.

Critics: Jancis Robinson 15.5/20, Decanter 89/100

  • Chateau de Sabazan Saint Mont — x 1

Situated in the heart of South West France, the Plaimont vineyards stretch from the  foothills of the Pyrenees to the hills and valleys of Gascony covering a uniquely rich terroir. A thousand wine growers defend the ideals of a cooperative and are committed to managing their vineyards with respect for both the environment and their own time-honoured traditions.

Château de Sabazan, in the Saint Mont Appellation, is situated in the medieval village of Sabazan, near Aignan. Work in the vineyard dictates a seasonal rhythm to the lives of the village some hundred and fifty souls who live between the thirteenth-century Romanesque church and the Château which was rebuilt in the 15thcentury with stones dating back to the 13th. In 1987 Plaimont vinified wines made with the Château de Sabazan harvest for the first time and five young local winegrowers were given responsibility for management of the vineyard in an attempt to improve the social economic situation of this village otherwise doomed to desertification.
