No brashness here; rather a softly aromatic genteel Cabernet from a classic Margaret River vintage. Freshly crushed raspberries mixed with red and black currants, combine with cedary vanilla oak, black olive and roasting herbs, all of which are part of the complex and alluring aromatics. The palate is poised with excellent clarity of varietal fruit, the texture has velvet-like plushness with the superfine tannins being supple and supportive.
‘A delightful fruit-driven Cabernet: bramble, mulberry and blackcurrant fruit – dense, powerful, with an impressive depth of ripe fruit. Fleshy with fine balanced tannins. Drink 2023-2032.’ Score 94/100
