Château Breillan Haut-Médoc
Add to favouritesSituated in Blanquefort on the outskirts of Bordeaux, Château Breillan, which dates back to the 14th centruy, was completely rebuilt in the early 20th century in the neo-Gothic style. Today, the vines are tended by a viticultural college and consequently has the advantage of major resources.
The very atypical mix of grape varieties, in which Merlot predominates, yields a very generous, well-structured wine wrapped in smooth, lingering extract.
Clad in a beautiful ruby red with deeppurple hints, this 2016 offers an intense, fresh bouquet with a hint of spice, red fruits and cherry. Mouthfilling, chewy tannins on the palate, which lingers to a balanced, superbly unctuous finish.
A great vintage.
